In 1980 Tom-Cin Metals was established starting out as a farm equipment sales, service, and repair shop. The shop was a 28’ x 32’ garage located in Hortonville, WI. Even with it’s size Tom-Cin Metals was a “no job too big or small” company.
Soon the garage was out grown and a new place was needed. An old lumber facility was chosen with double the shop size and a separate office building with show room.
By 1986 this facility was also out grown and a building on the corner of down town Hortonville was purchased. This gave the company new room for growth with 10,000 sq feet of fabrication and office space. The company then started off in a new direction, by diversifying into custom metal fabrication.
The 1990’s brought a lot of change to Tom-Cin Metals with the purchase of a bulk storage bin design and engineering. This allowed Tom-Cin Metals to start it’s own product line by offering bolt together bin systems and gates. By the mid 90’s Tom-Cin Metals was quickly out growing the fabrication shop, so new land was purchased in the Hortonville Industrial Park. In the spring of 1995 Tom-Cin Metals broke ground on a new 22,500 sq ft fabrication facility. Soon after, the company increased it’s offering by adding the fabrication of structural steel and a corrugated wall style bin for the seed industry. In addition, custom metal fabrication was expanding and again Tom-Cin Metals needed more space. So in 1998 expansion began on a 22,500 sq ft addition to the shop and more equipment upgrades.
With dedication to growth while supplying quality parts and fabrication for an array of industries the company saw more changes. In 2005 Tom-Cin Metals purchased a laser cutting machine. In 2007 another 15,000 sq ft addition went on to the building, and a second laser was added with a material tower. By 2009 a third laser was implemented allowing the two lasers to run lights out.
In 2013 Tom-Cin Metals became ISO 9001 Certified with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Over the last several years Tom-Cin Metals has continued to invest in the future with the addition of a dedicated quality lab along with multiple equipment and system upgrades to streamline the manufacturing process. In 2022 and 2023 robotic welders were added to the manufacturing floor. Also, a horizontal milling machine to help better serve our customers’ needs.
With over 40 years of fabrication skills and experience, Tom-Cin Metals will continue to make the necessary changes for growth to help supply the best quality parts and service for its customers at a competitive price. Tom-Cin Metals is a made-in-the-USA family-oriented company with great employees and customers.
